Our Latter day hymns. The stories and the messages

I like the histories behind the songs and the composers. I am pleased with the book as it does provide insight to why the hymns were written and where some of music came from.

Excellent Resource

The original edition of this book is out of print, so I was delighted to learn a revised edition was available. The revised edition has incorporated new research and is strikingly thorough. A history buff might enjoy reading this book from cover to cover, but I think most people would derive the greatest enjoyment when reading about one hymn at a time. It is an excellent resource for choir directors.

Great resource but out of print

This book is a great resource for anyone who needs background and little-known facts on the hymns of the LDS church. It's too bad that it's out of print..... :(
