Richard Palmer contributes a spendid analysis of Petersons career here. You wouldn't go far wrong in using this as the basis for which Peterson albums to buy (indeed I have done so to large degree). As this was written in the 1980's it does not cover the later part of Petersons career when he suffered a stroke and lost the use of his left-hand in the early 1990's. So what you have here is a small concise volume, which includes a lot useful musical information, including extracts from interviews with Andre Previn and discussions about the frequent comparisons between Peterson and Tatum. This is well worth getting.
