Good book but a little corny around the edges

15 years ago when the Sweet Dreams series was popular I was reading and collecting them avidly. Now as a mother of 3 girls I'm on a quest to find and reclaim the Sweet Dreams series.I just finished Opposites Attract #180 by Linda Joy Singleton. Very clean and sweet story about a girl named Jessica who falls for a country dairy farmer named David when he comes to collect his lost dog. Jessica is sort of wishy washy and doesn't know how to say no to things very easily or even yes to things that she really wants. Some of the lines in the book that David uses on Jessica were pretty corny ("You're a jewel of sunshine in my usually cloudy life.") *GAG*!! They use to give me butterflies in the stomach, now they just make me laugh. Who would use such corny lines in today's society?! *hahaha* Oh well. Overall it's a very sweet and subtle story for any girl on the brink of romance.
