Erica Swift may run the marketing department of Rockit Wireless, but she doesn't know a heck of a lot about tech. That's okay'?she can sell stilettos to a nun. After her husband tells her he's leaving... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Sheryl Steinberg takes a very common, basic theme that's been done thousands of times and turns it into a frolicking good read. From start to finish I kept yelling out loud, "Yes, yes, this is so great!" Yes, we have a story line as old as the written romantic word, but it's been modernized and brought way into the twenty-first century. The book grabs you from page one with original ideas and much mirth and merriment, until the next thing you know, you are on the last page wishing that it wasn't over yet. Our central character, Erica Swift, works in the tech industry without having much knowledge of technology. Luckily, she has a cast of many endearing and knowledgeable friends. Her husband cheats, and leaves her, and then she dates her way hysterically to the love of her life. Of special note is the wonderful relationship between Erica and her mother. The author put into very funny words the way that I also felt about my relationship with my mother when I went through my divorce, and she did it in a way that made me call my mother immediately to share. It's the kind of read that you just can't keep to yourself, but get your own copy, because this one is mine. Reviewed by Serena K. Snyder
Hilarious!

A hilarious book that caught my attention from the beginning. The author's writing style is funny and the book is easy to read. As a woman, I could relate to the events and the dilemmas the main character went through. Personally, I found her to be quite motivating because she's a career woman and managed to get over challenging situations in life (i.e. a cheating husband). It makes you realize that it's not the end of the world if something goes wrong; you'll get back on your feet and things can be good again (hence the title). The book is very much like 'Sex and the city' and is therefore quite appealing to women. I got hooked on this book quickly and would definitively recommend this to others. Looking forward to read more of Sheryl Steinberg's books.
