Archer's Return

When I bought this book, I had recently finished reading Measure Of A Hero which tells us how Archer Christifori got involved in the civil war. What attracted me to these books was Archer's character. This book brought some serious issues to light and Archer was definitly the person to deal with them. This book also brings forth the tragedy of war. Archer knew that going in and he also knew that he could be one of those casalties. But they did it because they had to. The action is always there and the book keys in on not only Archer's character, but also Adam Steiner. By the end of the book, We see changes in the attitudes on both sides. They all learn to respect each other and some become friends even though they are on opposite sides of he civil war.

Operation Audacity: A great book.

When I bought this book I just completed reading the latest Mechwarrior book so I was apprihensive in purchasing another battletech book right away but when I read the back cover and saw that had General Archer in the story line I went ahead and bought the book. So Once I started reading the book I couldn't set down the book. I was very impressed with the Operation Audacity. This book starts off with bringing back one of the more colorful characters that has been written into the FedCom civil war story line. General Archer is back and kicking the Jade Falcons out of the Lyran Alliance. The book read really well and flowed through smoothly and most of all it wasn't boring like the Mechwarrior series books. This has been a great book. This book has my highest recommandations.

Acher is back!

Archer is back and this time hes whipin up on the Jade Falcons! But he can only do that with the help of Adam Steiner, a very loyal Steiner general.I could never put down this book, the action goes from start to end. i realy recomend getting this book.

An Intriguing Read

As I am a Clan book fan, I was beginning to worry about the fate of the Clan books. Operation Audacity, though not entirely devoted to the clans, is a pleasant escape from the books about the Inner Sphere. It is masterfully written in the style that only Blaine Lee Pardoe can achieve and the events of the plot are contrasted with excellence. Pardoe integrates the points of view of Archer Christifori, Phelan Kell, and various elements of Clan Jade Falcon. It's a pleasure reading about these characters for whom I was afraid were lost when FASA shut its doors. It is mysterious, intriguing, and I was not physically able to put this book down until I turned the last page. Read it. It's definitely worth your six bucks.

The Clans Get a Little More Attention

Although I may seem critical about this series now that Stackpole is no longer the front man of the books, this particuluar addition to the Battletech universe was a good one. If you're a big fan of the clans (as i am) then you'll love this one. Clan Wolf in Exile and the Jade Falcons have it out once again, and on worlds that changed the Clans forever. Twycross to name one. And we once again get to revisit the Falcon Guards as they fight to regain their tainted honor lost in the Inner Sphere invasion. Although not Stackpole, Pardoe is still a veteran of the series and has also written about the Clans before, so he has a good take on their culture. As for the book as how it relates to the overall plot, it pushes the Civil War to it's final chapter, End Game. If you're a long time reader, pick it up, because our grand adventure is almost over.
