Only Pleasure

Kia Rutherford has been living in self-imposed isolation. She has been hiding from the world and everyone in it including herself. For two long years she has lived with the stinging aftermath of betrayal by those she loved and trusted. Her ex-husband Drew Stanton had initiated a ménage on her behalf with a man she didn't know, that had almost ended in rape. Had that unknown man not realized she wasn't a willing participant, it could have ended very badly. When she desperately needed someone to talk to, she trusted her old friend Rebecca with the secrets Drew had imparted to her about Ian Sinclair's club that catered to men who share their women. Kia had also told her about the attempted rape, and was horrified when Rebecca made her the hottest topic of gossip by repeating everything she said to anyone who would listen. The gossip had brought Chase Falladay to her home. He was an investigator for Ian, and he told her that if she would retract everything she said, he would see to her protection. She had learned a valuable lesson from those events. Kia knew she could never trust anyone again. Chase Falladay found himself in very unfamiliar territory. He has wanted to possess Kia since he first became aware of her - before her marriage, during her marriage, and now that she was alone again. He had been checking up on her lately, and was dismayed to learn how she had cut herself off from everyone. She had no friends, no lovers, and Chase now felt like he had let her down by not making sure she was okay. Now that he had seen her again, he knew he would be unable to stay away. It only took one touch for the intense passion between them to spiral out of control. When Kia realized Chase meant to share her with a close friend, she was afraid, but willing to let him lead her wherever this journey with Chase led. When Kia was attacked after an encounter, Chase rallied his brother and friends to ensure her safety. He just hoped the threat could be identified and neutralized before he lost the person that meant the most. He knew with absolute certainty, it was a loss he wouldn't recover from. Another winner in the Bound Hearts series! I have been waiting for Chase's story since he was featured in Cameron's tale, Wicked Pleasure, and what a heart stopping story it is. These books are all consistently good, but this one surpasses them all. Chase has experienced so much loss in his life; he just constantly waits for the other shoe to drop. That is what drives many of his actions. Kia is one of the best characters I have read in a long time. You can feel her pain and heartbreak caused by the duplicity of those she trusted. It is exciting to see her journey from being the broken lost women she is in the beginning allowing the stronger sensual vixen to emerge fortified by the love Chase gives so reluctantly. Combustible and suspenseful read you will want to add to your personal library.

Another winner by Lora.

Kia Stanton discovers the reality of a sordid club when her husband brings a member home with him and tries to persuade Kia to have ..."relations"... with this man by using force and alcohol. This left Kia lost and hysterically searching for resolution...and leads her to tell her friend of the activities of this club. Her best friend betrays Kia and begins to gossip about what Kia had said...this, of course, brings Chase Falladay into the situation by trying to get Kia to retract her story. Instead, Kia, goes into isolation in an attempt to rediscover herself. Two years later, she bumps into Chase and Khalid at a party. This strikes up old memories and curiosity she has about this club and their practices in "sharing" members. Well, she goes with Chase, knowing fully well what is waiting between Chase and Khalid. After the three-way romp, Kia falls in love with Chase...of course, Chase refuses to have relations with Kia without Khalid. After a little persuasion, Kia finally gets Chase alone...but this love comes with a price...as someone from Chase's past seeks revenge and sees Kia as a means to that end. Lora Leigh's books are always a sordid tale of male, female, male, love stories and this book is no different. She does seem to have something big in-store for Khalid, as his story is more developed than in previous books...though he does come off as the third wheel late in the story. This wicked club novel is well-paced and the tones set-up the woman in distress scenario very well. There are some minor issues with the plot...but nothing worth mentioning or anything that will detract from the story..........Another book I would highly recommend is: Sirens by Geo Tin--Sirens (Mass Market)--another sordid tale of forbidden love.

5 Blue Ribbons from Romance Junkies!

Kia Stanton has spent the last couple years of her life trying to overcome the stigma forced upon her when she trusted the wrong person about her knowledge of `The Club'. After suffering an almost rape at the hands of her husband, Kia knows that she shouldn't have mentioned anything about the club but will do her best to cover up her blunder, as promised to a certain twin investigator. He in turn will make sure that her husband never tries to touch her again. True to his word, Kia is now divorced. However, loneliness eats at her. The endless process of society parties and dancing can't tame the wildness that courses through Kia every time she sees the man that came to her rescue two years ago, Chase Falladay. His dark hair and green eyes promise so much pleasure, and Kia grabs on to that promise with both hands, never realizing that the man she used to hate has become the man she trusts to give her pleasure unlike any she has ever known. Chase Falladay watches Kia Stanton as she struggles to make a life for herself. More and more he is troubled as he watches the toll it is taking on her. When they meet up by chance in a bar, he offers her the one thing he does best - give pleasure. Promising her ONLY PLEASURE, Chase and his third, in perfect rhythm, show Kia just how wanton she can be. When the night is over, and dawn turns to day, Chase is torn. What began innocently as a one night stand has taken new meaning. Kia Stanton is in his blood and before he realizes it, she is in his heart as well. While he and Kia agreed that their relationship was only about the pleasure, Chase finds himself thinking of more - he finds himself thinking about forever. ONLY PLEASURE is the most gripping Bound Hearts novel to date. Sensing the fragility of Kia with the first scene, I loved watching her evolve into a woman who knows what she wants, accepts what she wants, and is not afraid to take what she wants. Kia wants Chase Falladay. She knows his stipulations, and she gladly accepts the pleasure he offers. Is that enough for her? No, not really. Is she willing to stick around long enough to see where their feelings stand with each other? Yes, she is. By the books end, nothing is more important to Kia than Chase. Full of forgiveness for a harm done to her, Kia stands out in my mind as one of Ms. Leigh's strongest and best written heroines. Chase Falladay - just the name makes me shiver. I loved every inch of this enigmatic man. His yearning for Kia lasted years - years in which he could do nothing but watch her with her now ex-husband. Knowing that one day she would be his, Chase bided his time for the chance to finally stake his claim. A most worthy hero, Chase has a steadfast loyalty and love - although he tried to deny the last - toward Kia which just made him sexier in my eyes. While he doesn't treat her with kid gloves, he treats her respectfully and his touches were just a fraction of the sensuality this man contains. The s

Spicy hot erotic romance that deserves 4.5 stars

This winning erotic romance illuminates the seduction and romance of Chase Falladay, who was highlighted in "Wicked Pleasure," and Kia Rutherford. The sex scenes in the courtship are explicit and adventurous into the areas of menage a trois, light bondage, and spanking. Khalid, a character previously introduced in the series, is intimately included in the seduction scenes. I am hopeful that he will be the focus of the next book in the series. The erotic romance of Chase and Kia was thoughtfully written and very enjoyable to read. My only disappointment is in how Ms. Leigh portrayed the character of Chase Falladay who I enjoyed immensely in "Wicked Pleasure." The character of Chase Falladay didn't completely resemble the character that was previously in "Wicked Pleasure." Previously, Chase Falladay seemed like a man who was comfortable in his own skin as was illustrated by the openness and ease that he exhibited with his former lovers (i.e., Jaci his future sister-in-law). Ms. Leigh tried to explain and reconcile why Chase was not able to treat Kia with the same TLC as all his former lovers, but I didn't buy it. Instead, she portrayed Chase as a somewhat diminished, mixed-up guy who was afraid to fall in love with Kia. For example, he had so many hang-ups that he refused to phone Kia after any sexual encounter with her and Khalid. He finally is forced into spending time with Kia (outside of the sexual encounters) only after she is threatened by some unknown stalker. That part of this book made Chase seem lame and immature. In fact, I hated it so much that I almost wished that Kia had told Chase to take a hike and instead pursued Khalid. In her next book, I hope that she allows her hero (probably Khalid) to take the driver's seat in his courtship of his lady and not simply go along with what fate throws his way.

Hotter than hot menage romance!

Years ago, Kia Stanton's husband tried to force an unexpected and unwanted threesome on her. Kia fled the situation and the marriage. The incident sparked a scandal involving Kia, her ex and the secretive, exclusive group he belonged to, a group of powerful men who habitually participate in ménage sex with their women. The scandal threatened to destroy Kia's life, and the lives of those she cared about. Chase Falladay promised to protect her then, and he did, helping to quell the worst of the gossip. Kia has never stopped thinking about Chase - and not only because of how he helped her. She's had more than one fantasy starring the sexy private investigator. Now Chase is back in her life and she has the opportunity to live those fantasies. Chase wants Kia more than he has ever wanted any woman. That's what scares him most. He has tried to stay away, but when the opportunity arises to experience a night of pleasure with her, he can't resist. But what they have can only be pleasure - never more, he promises himself. Soon, however, ONLY PLEASURE isn't nearly enough. For years, fans of Lora Leigh's BOUND HEARTS series have heard about Kia Stanton, the woman who let the cat out of the bag, so to speak. This is the woman who fired the rumors about the men of The Club and their extreme sexual practices. Much like the other characters in these stories, we've assumed much about her motivations, believing them to be motivated by vengeance or maliciousness. In ONLY PLEASURE, we finally see Kia Stanton's side of the story. We learn about the unforgivable betrayal her husband perpetrated upon her, betraying her trust in the worst way. After plying her with alcohol, he tried to trick her into allowing an additional man in their bed without her agreement or foreknowledge. It's no wonder that Kia spun a little out of control at first - what woman wouldn't seek support from her closest friend after such a horrific scene? Unfortunately, the story didn't stop with Kia's friend, and that's where the trouble really grew. Of course, if it weren't for all that trouble, Chase Falladay wouldn't have needed to step into her life to do damage control and help her through the mess, protecting her from the gossip and from her ex-husband. That proximity brought out feelings of protectiveness in him for the lovely little divorcee, though he stifled them for years. For all that he is a strong, determined Alpha-male type, Chase can only hold out for so long. He denies his feelings for Kia for a while, but they soon get the best of him. Although that may be a little misleading - he knows he has feelings for Kia, but he believes her to be too fragile to handle what he would need from her long-term. And there are the repeated tragedies in his past regarding people he cared about to make him hesitant to get close to her as well. For Kia's part, she's willing to give Chase anything he asks for - up to a point. After enjoying a few nights of unbridled passi
