VIVID REAL LIFE ARCTIC ADVENTURE!!

Sheila Burnford does a great job describing her adventures exploring the people and the place... with Wild ICE adventures, to digging for ancient Indian relics in the ICE. Nearly skidding off ice into freezing Oceans behind a team of sled dogs...... to noticing the very "close to nature" existence of a rare and unusual people. For a woman in her mid-life years I would say she and her companion Susan ( an artist) managed to throw caution to the wind and live a very wild adventure. This is a MUST read for anyone planning to go to the Arctic for any real amount of time.
