I was friends with the authors daughter, so the making of this book I knew a lot about, and this is a very excellent book. I believe it to be very well written, and a lot of work went into it. Its a book for people who like adventure, and its exciting. Its an interesting story and is pretty realistic. I recommend this to everyone.

Very good book. Only one book Ihave ever read has better hurricane description and suspense and that is "The Heathen" by Jack London. One Tree Island was overall a great book. I could not put it down. I have only one fault with it. Either Ed never had any siblings or they were miracle kids, 'cause no brother and sister get along that good. Other than that the book is great. His description of the island is good and pretty acurate (my dad has been to the Tuamotu's and he describes them the same way)
i luv this book

I think that this book is one of the best written. The way that he describes the storm and creates suspense. Even though this was his first book i think that no other author could have done better!!
