Love The Second Time Around

Ruth Boyd was hurt by Garry her fiance's letting her down, more over the house, and wonderful life they had planned than really getting married, also she was shocked that he could fall for another woman when he was supposed to be in love with her. To add to that her brother Derek's wife had just had a miscarriage a third time(now called spontaneous abortion). Finding out about these 2 things on the same day caused Ruth to blank out. She walked out of a store with out paying for two greeting cards and was pulled in by the store security. Although Blake Marsden spoke up for her, after he almost killed her when she walked in front of his car against the traffic light, and he tore a strip off her but good, he knew she was not thinking straight, because of the earlier close call. Well when he came into his office after being away for three weeks to find the same woman sitting at the desk of his company he was taken aback. Although he was shocked at the love that hit him between the eyes, he was very mean toward Ruth. When Ruth finally got fed up with his behavior, boy did he do a 90 degree turn around. Blake all but kidnapped Ruth, Blake never wanted a mistress, he wanted Ruth to be as nice to him as she was to all the other employees at his company. He even growled at her for not smiling at him. Even he didn't smile at her, he followed her lead, as she was following his. Ruth was sweet and almost too easy going, until she finally got enough of Blake's behavior, then hey presto, he was as gentle as a kitten so he could win her back. I really like the scene with the teddy bear with the sly eyes. And Garry showing up some months later trying to let Ruth know he had been jilted just like she had been, so now he understood how she felt when he let her down.
