A Classroom Favorite

In our resource room we have several Little Bill books available for the students. One Dark and Scary Night has to be the favorite of my students with learning disabilities. The illustrations and text quickly develop the personality of the characters to hold the student's attention. Frequently, students want to reread this book which is a great sign of student success and enjoyment of reading. I also appreciate how the author presents the elderly grandma character in the story.

One Dark Scary Night

Hi, my name is Edward. The book I read is One Dark and Scary Night by Bill Cosby. The story is about a boy named little Bill. He thought there was something in is his closet. He got very scared, so he ran to his mom and dad's room and said, "I am going to sleep here." Then his grandma got him to go to sleep. I thought this book was good. It has funny pictures. I recommend every child who likes funny stories to read it. I give it five stars.

Cosby-sational!

My five-year old absolutely loves this book! We enjoy reading it together at bedtime. We like the bright, colorful pictures and easy to read and understand content. Brandon also likes the expressions on the faces of the characters on each page; he can't wait to turn the page to find out what happens next. Definitely two thumbs up; way up!

One of the best books for first readers

This book has captured my 7 year old's attention over and over again. She found the book to be easy to read, yet challenging and very funny. She will pick this book up to read before others. This has surely become one of her favorites.

The children in my CCD class loved this book!Cc

Children today seem to have not learned a great deal about treating each other with respect and love. I have found the Little Bill series to be very helpful because the children can relate with the situations and the characters. I have seen a difference in my CCD class as to how the children treat each other, and we frequently refer to the Little Bill books!
