Great read-aloud tool for almost-readers

Winner of the National Council of Teachers of English Award for Poetry for Children, I found this a great this a vital part of my library for those not yet reading for themselves, or needing practice with the cadence of readling aloud. McCord is known for being a great naturalist, and Archibald MacLeish says on the back cover, "it is not David McCord's fault that all the words which speak most truly of him have been worn smooth by a time which longs foor them and finds them so rarely...". It would be interesting to know how this wonderful book fell out of print.
