A wonderful addition to Ballet Friends

My daughter loves the Ballet Friends series, so I bought this to add to her collection. I'm so happy I did, because she loves it too. In this book, the Ballet Friends characters play the fairy tale princesses. The pretty, blonde character named Bianca plays Ballerella and Goldilocks. And the brunette ballerina named Jessie plays the prima ballerina in "The Princess and the Prima." The other Ballet Friends characters such as Lisa and Margo also show up in the fairy tales. My daughter says the cutest story was "The Klutzy Duckling" because Kay the Klutz from Ballet Friends played the Klutzy Duckling role, which was so perfect for her. All of the stories are based on classic fairy tales, and ballet has been cleverly infused into each of them. This book is a must-have for any Ballet Friends reader, or younger readers who love both fairy tales and ballet. This book is appropriate for all ages, and is too cute to pass up.

Wonderful ballet fairy tales

I have two daughters, ages 6 and 11, and they both love this book. I read it out loud to them, and it's a wonderful activity that we do together. I found this book because my 11 yr old reads the Ballet Friends series also by Kitty Michaels. I like that the print is nice and large and there are pretty illustrations in each story. My younger daughter likes to color them in. Her favorite story is "Ballerella," which is based on "Cinderella." But in this story her name is Ballerella and she attends the Prince's ball as part of a ballet festival in which all eligible dancers are invited to dance for the Prince and he chooses the best dancer to marry. This collection is a good value because you get five stories in one. My 6 yr old likes me to read the stories to her at bedtime and they put her right to sleep! The writing is very easy to read and understand, and the stories stay true to the originals except that they are all ballet-themed. I'm very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend this to other parents.
