South Mountain Story is a Shocker...

I was in shock these events actually happened! Alot of solid research went into this book.You can tell. It goes back and describes the history of how the hostility between valley people and those people up on the mountain came to be. It was really interesting to see how they came to view eachother the way they did. I felt so bad to read about how the poor children were treated. They were like little ragdolls just abused and used for the adults who should have loved and protected them-and for it to go on for several generations like it did-Just a real shame. If the 14 year old victim hadn't of stood up to end it all-it would probably still be going on right now.
