I agree with the other review of this book....she could have gone into the tragedy of losing her family. It was as if one minute they were there and the next they were gone. Also, on the next page she was in Paris...nothing about how she got there. Other than that, it was a good book...I really enjoyed it. Would have liked to give it 5 stars but just couldn't. Looking forward to the next one... I still find it far-fetched...

This book is a truly enjoyable read. Sophie Delamanse loses her family to the plague and then joins the musketeers disguised as her brother and determined to win honor in his name. She is found out by Count Lamotte, the man she was to have married. And it goes from there...The adventures of serving in the King's guard and the gradual changes in Lamotte's attitude toward women as soldiers are well done. I gave this one...
