True EVOO experience

Last Spring, in the quaint town of Los Olivos, I was introduced to Theo Stephan, the author of this beautiful cookbook, "Olive Oil and Vinegar for Life". Theo has her "backyard" olive orchard and a well conceived Farm Stand on her property just outside of town. The small sign for her Farm Stand, "Global Gardens", and the broad array of award winning olive oils, balsamic fruit vinegars, and artisanal foods, brought us in from the road. Theo's charismatic personality engaged us in a delicious and enlightening Olive Oil tasting and subsequently in the strong desire to take this "experience" home with us. My accompanying friend chose to become a Seasonal Caliterrainian Club member and receive select products four times a year and I chose Theo's book. The book not only contains amazing and unexpected recipes, but describes the idea of Caliterrainian living. Theo and her daughters graced the many pages of this book with their beautiful photographs. Even if you haven't had the pleasure of the Farm Stand experience, you can enjoy the recipes and information contained in this book... my only warning is that once you have this book, you will want to go on-line and order some of Theo's fabulous products... and you'll probably want to order more books from her for your friends.
