This new orchestration by Clark McAlister is based on the final nine items in Bart?k's 1915 piano suite Hungarian Peasant Songs, Sz.71. Scored for a Mozart-sized orchestra, it is a most attractive setting of the final section or Bart?k's original piano version, where the nine peasant songs are played without a break.
