Basil Johnston has a uniquely captivating way of storytelling. Whether he's dealing with Ojibway tales or the story of his personal childhood in "Indian School Days", Johnston can be deemed a great First Nations author.

This book deals with the side-splitting to the somber tales of some of the Ojibwa (also called Chippewa) Nation, by creating a non-existent (today) reservation and sub-tribe, and giving an excellent view of life on-reservation for one of the most relaxed groups of Natives you'll ever meet. This book will make you giggle and cry, all at once!
