a fascinating book on how paintings are made

Each chapter starts with a historical introduction. Then a comtemporary artist explains how he/she prepared, executed and acheived the desired effect. Beautiful colour photos support the text. Perspective, brush strokes, colour,light, materials and tools and much more are covered in this book.
