Many of these stories appeared in magazines and for their publication here have been restored to their original lengths and texts, as their authors intended.Jon Tuska is the editor of several anthologies of Western stories, including The Western Story: A Chronological Treasury, The Morrow Anthology of Great Western Short Stories, and The First Five Star Western Corral. He has been editing a series of short novels published by Five Star titled Stories of the Golden West. He lives in Oregon.
