Nik and Hodj were jesters to royalty. Their fathers had been jesters. Their grandfathers had been jesters, and so on. Is it any wonder that Nik and Hodj really hated being jesters? They weren't even very good at being jesters. To be totally honest, they sucked at being jesters!
What they really desired, was to be adventurers. The only problem was that they had absolutely no skills in anything. Nothing.
They were about to get more adventure than they bargained for.
One fateful day, while fleeing the kingdom because of an incredibly bad performance, they met a necromancer that cast a spell of coincidental magic on them. This spell put them on the front line of saving the elves. Now, the fate of the entire Elfin kingdom rests squarely in their hands.
Along the way, they will confront a red dragon, a night hag, an evil sorceress, and many other beasts, not to mention their own inadequacies.
They also befriend a very resourceful assassin, and meet a few dwarf females and find love.
