Kill Kill Faster Faster: A Novel

After spending more than seventeen years behind bars, Joey One-Way believed there was only one way he was getting out of prison, and that was in a box. But that's not exactly how it plays. While serving time Joey wrote a jailhouse drama that became a Broadway sensation. Now big-time producer Markie Mann is staking his reputation to spring and back Joey, counting on him to turn his scripts into Hollywood gold. Joey wants nothing more than to do right by Markie. So it's too bad that he falls so hard for Markie's young wife, Fleur. Now Joey's heading for trouble at high velocity. KILL KILL FASTER FASTER is a crime novel like no other. It has the heart and soul of the blues, the hard-boiled edge of classic pulp noir, and the voice of a man whose heart beats too loudly for his own good The story grabs the reader from the opening passage, never letting go, even after the violent end. Not your father's mystery

This story is written in a very unusual style, in the first person, as a stream of thoughts in the head of a sociopath/loser. Some of his thoughts are very disturbing and some readers will find this and the author's style equally disturbing. You'll love it or hate it but you won't forget it. Joey Oneway did good.

Great Crime Novel

A book that takes the crime novel paradigm, pulls it apart, and puts it together. It reads like a chant. Admirable, from beginning to end.

Great read!

Terrific book. If you're a fan of suspense, and not too uptight, you're going to love this book. Beware, however, it's very sexy and violent, and not like any other book you've ever read.Really enjoyed it. Going to read his other stuff.

Faster Faster

A fantastic book. Fast paced, energetic. Some of the comments about lack of plot or story-line are probably true. So what? This book is probably in my personal favourites top-20 along with Richard Hell's "Go Now", Chuck Palahniuk's "Fight Club' and most books by John Fante and Charles Buckowski. Looking forward to his next book...

Provocative to say the least

What is the story? Are you people nuts? This book may be a lot of things, but one thing it most certainly is not, and that's boring! Rose obviously stirs up big emotional reaction in his readers. But for me, I thought this book was a total page turner, with a terrific payoff at the end. I recommend it. Strongly.
