A Useful & Knowledgable Book

What a nice book. It dispels the rumor and fear that surrounds witchcraft and wicca in general. It shares using information. Has beautiful artwork and great information. I highly recommend it for individuals wanting to study the craft as well as individuals who are in fear of the craft.

Best Discription of Paganism to Christianity and Today

Owning more than 300 books on the subject... I find the details and discriptions of how Christianity attempted to wipe out the Pagan relgions excellent! The information on how male physicians often accussed wise women of witchcraft which lead to thier deaths was enlighting. We rarely hear of the mass genocide of women during the "Burning Times" anywhere else in literature or history books. This account is only the first of several chapters of this book, with much more worthwhile information to come. Not agreeing with everything in the book is not the point. There is so much clear, understandible information given. The book is well worth the price!

Very interesting and informative

I really enjoyed this book, especially since it wasn't TOO informative--some books go really REALLY deep and scare off the casual reader or beginner on the subject. I also enjoyed the great pictures. I showed my sister the book and she immediately ran off to the book store to buy one of her own. Great book!! Buy it!

Excellent book!

Excellent. It was very informative. It set my feet upon the path into the Magickal world. It was a gift from my brother, and I'm very glad to have it. Notions and Potions gives insight and information without being too mystical to the first time reader into this subject.
