Julia is an ex-model who now works as a bodyguard. Being a female she's only been given the 'easy' jobs so far and is ready to sink her teeth into something more meaningful than watching over a spoiled princess while she shops. The job falls into her lap when she's hired by a man to secretly protect his boss from death threats. Julia is doubly perfect because he can get her in to replace the PA but being so goodlooking he's sure his womanizing boss won't be able to resist her, making her job even easier. So Julia goes to work for Rees Denton and true to form he hits on her almost immediately. Julia has to act like a ditsy bimbo in order to make Rees like her, and Rees is the charming playboy who woos to bed and has about four other girls he's seeing at the same time. There were a few laugh out loud moments and many moments of quiet humor. Overall I liked Julia and Rees a lot. The book isn't a great and meaningful romance with hardships and misunderstandings galore but it is a fun story with two characters who are more true to a real life person than an overexaggerated make-believe character. The heroine is very centered and doesn't even have a hint of a TSTL moment, while the hero is also a great character. It's not something I'd read over and over again but it's definitely worth the time to read it.
