Great Book for Music Teachers, Parents, and Students!

A fun, easy read with terrific tips on practicing. I am a music teacher and a parent of music students and found the book very helpful and practical. The style of the book is fun and humorous, but right on in terms of developing good practice habits.

A funny, clever book that my elementary age kids devoured from cover to cover

I am a homeschooler and my children take piano lessons from another teacher. We recently moved to another country and I am now teaching them their school and piano lessons. I was looking for a resource that would be something where the kids could get guidance on practicing without it coming from a nagging mom. This book is fantastic - it has cute cartoon displays on every page to illustrate what the author is saying in a very humerous and light hearted way. The kids remembered the suggestions from the book about practicing and retained the guidance. Now when they're playing something too fast, I just ask them - what did the book say about that? They giggle and sometimes even show me the cartoon to remind me.
