In 2008 the author, Oisin Hughes rode his motorcycle down the Pan American Highway and wrote a book about his experiences. That book was called "That I may Die Roaming". Not satisfied, and in an attempt to kill off the traveling bug once and for all, he decided to ride Dublin to New York heading east, which was preceded by another Pan American Road trip taking a different route. His Journey took him through 27 countries on yet another trip of a lifetime. The book details his attempt to make a documentary about the experience with a friend, that projects ultimate failure, and his continuing on through the final 22 countries alone. Along the way he completes some of the worlds most infamous roads including all of the Ruta 40 in Argentina and the Road of Bones in Far Eastern Russia.
