extensive integration between text and CD

The book features extensive integration between the material on the audio CD and the text. By the playing of the CD, the student learns through listening to spoken English. This pedagogy has been found elsewhere to improve retention. The chapters cover very varied topics. Another means for the student to assimilate both vocabulary and contexts in which the words and phrases are used. The exercises are of moderate difficulty. The topics do have a focus [or bias] towards the United States. For example, one topic is Disney's resort in Florida. While other topics might have references to American places.
