In a cross-country comic odyssey, nine-year-old North goes to court to win ""free agency"" from his parents and proceeds to search the United States for parents who deserve him. Reprint. 150,000 first... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I read this book, and loaned it out... and it never came back. I bought it again, loaned it out... and it didn't come back either. Very fun, very entertaining, and far far better than the movie.

"North" is a wonderful story of a talented 13 year old boy (North) whose parents don't appriciate. He makes great grades in school, he's a wonderful athlete, and is active in extra-curricular activities but everyone except his parents seem to acknowlenge this gold-mine of a child. This book turns upside-down when North goes on a huge expedition to find new parents; ones that love him.
