Another fascinating and well written personnel recollection of WW2. The author, Don McVicar, flew aircraft across the North Atlantic for RAF Ferry Command. His first book, Ferry Command, was a graphic portrayl of war-time flying across the Atlantic. This book picks up where Ferry Command left off and takes the reader into the cockpit of the Ferry Command Catalina flights between Bermuda and Scotland during the winter of 1942-43. These were 24 hour flights and some of the stories are truely incredible, especially when you consider they did all these without modern avionics.
