Being raised in a secluded, dependent, and very strict environment can have many consequences. One of the consequence is not knowing where one fits in society. This is what is happening to a 16 year old girl, Alix. She is having trouble knowing where she belongs. She is a lost teen who hates herself but learns to like herself by significant events in her life. I like the fact that this book is realistic. Meaning that a lot of teenagers now a days are faced with the same situation as the main character. Teenagers do not know where they belong in society or for certain reasons hate themselves. This book is a wonderful book those kids can relate to and find good insight to help them with their problem. I really enjoyed reading this book very much. Hila Colman does a fantastic job in this book by putting in a lot of detail in her writing. Her writing is so simply and easy which makes it easier to understand. The book is also a fast reading novel and so interesting that will always keep the reader reading nonstop. This book is one of the best I've read. It is a wonderful book I recommend it to everyone especially those in their teenage years.
