Urban fans will really like this series

Nyx Ciar is half-human and half-Drow. She and her good friend, Olivia are in business together. They are private investigators for paranormal crimes. Dmitri Karl Beketov leader of he werewolf pack needs Nyx's help. Someone or something is attacking and killing the werewolves. Already six werewolves have been mutilated. Nyx calls on some of the best trackers that includes Dopplers, Shifters, Were, and Fae. Nyx finds some extra help in the form of Detective Adam Boyd. Things between Adam and Nyx are about to get hotter but they better watch their backs as the killer is out for blood. No Werewolves Allowed is book two in the Night Tracker series. I have not read book one but I didn't affect me from enjoying this book. Though, I did like this book so much that I plan to go back and read book one. Urban fans will really like this series. It is dark and edgy. Nyx and Adam sizzled together. I liked Nyx's character as a Drow. It was refreshing to have one of the main characters something different other then vampires and werewolves. This book may be titled No Werewolves Allowed but they are allowed in my home and on my bookshelf. I can't wait to sink my teeth into book three, Vampires Not Invited.

Shallow heroine, banter and steamy scenes, what's not to like!

Nyx Ciar half human, half drow is a PI of the paranormal world by day and a tracker also of the paranormal by night. She and her partner are called for the abductions of werewolves near the city, since there are no traces left on the different kidnap places, the weres are running out of options, a team of trackers accompany them to start the search and when things get bad for Nyx her lover Adam Boyd an NYPD go to her aid. The first thing one need to do to like this series, is to get used to the shallow heroine (at least that happen to me since I like this better than the previous), that is always checking how gorgeous every male she meets is, and worrying about her appearance and about name brand dropping, because as a drow princess she can afford every single brand out there. After that you get a fast pace story with lots of action, punches, blood, investigations and running. Banter between characters as her partner Olivia is a smart-a s s, and her fellow trackers are not far behind. Steam and more steam between Nyx and Adam. And finally a good plot to fight against. The first book (of demons) ended with the premise of this one (werewolves) and this ended with the next one (vampires). A fun light read.

terrific urban fantasy whodunit

The ancient Alpha werewolf Dmitri Kral Beketov informs hybrid Drow-human Nightracker Nyx and her purebred human partner Olivia that someone is abducting and killing his pack members. He wants to hire the paranormal crimes private investigative pair to find out who is the culprit that leaves no clues behind; not even olfactory. The stakes rise when the culprit kidnaps several werewolf pups. The two sleuths are assisted by other Night Trackers and NYPD detective Adam Boyd, who not just has Nyx's back but wants her on her back, scour the woods for the malevolence. Nyx soon realizes the vile motive and who the evil one is, but to end this reign of terror could cost her and her partner their lives. The second Night Tracker urban fantasy whodunit (see Demons Not Included) is a terrific paranormal investigative novel told by the hard-ass Nyx. Fast-paced with a strong twist, the New York City Underworld seems genuine while evolving with Were, Vamps, Demons, and assorted other ilk traipsing the cement canyons. Cheyenne McCray continues to provide strong tales (see the author's magic saga) to the deserved accolades of her sub-genre fans. Harriet Klausner
