Not worth your time!

I'm an avid Lee Child fan. This Lee child/Andrew Child book is terrible. Stupid plot line, fractured story structure. Just a bad read!

Unfortunately the books were delivered to the inmate location but Harvey never received them. They w

My nephew enjoys the JackReacher series. Hopefully he’ll receive the next order.

Boring and predictable....not the Reacher we all came to know. Hope they get it right for next one. or next one could be my last one....

Not up to Par

Very disappointed in the writing of this novel. I am back to just Lee Child writing Reacher stories and this one was like a college student "want to be" writer. You just knew what was going to happen and I couldn't finish it. This was my 11th reading of a Jack Reacher adventure and the worst. But, I am still a fan of Lee Child and his writings.

The Magic is Gone

Lee Child has decided it’s time to move on and he is handing off Jack Reacher to his brother Andrew. The plan as I understood it was that they would write a couple books together and then Lee would drop off and leave the show to Andrew. I don’t know how Lee and Andrew would say things are going with implementing the plan, but it has been clear to me since the first title appeared with Andrew’s name on the cover that the magic is gone from the Jack Reacher series. Jack’s character has changed. The plots of the books has changed: No more lone ranger riding (or hitchhiking more likely) into town to befriend a hapless innocent and vanquish the gang leader or the corrupt marshal or whatever. And the essential quality of the writing has degenerated noticeably. I found one place, a couple paragraphs, in “Better Off Dead” that is a word-for-word repeat of paragraphs from “The Sentinel”. I could go on, but I think the message is clear: We, the loyal fans of Lee Child and Jack Reacher have been left behind. Don’t waste your money on anything else Andrew preoduces.

Not even one star

Unbelievably bad Reacher book. Can’t believe Child had anything to do with writing this book. Have read all but the last 3 or 4 books and don’t recognize his character any more. So wooden and super violent.

A disappointment

I have read all of Lee Child's books, and this one is along the same line but with the addition of Andrew Child is just not the same feel. The writing is stilted and choppy, and just not up to Lee Child's standard in my opinion. Disappointing all the way around, read it in one day.
