Comfortable, enjoyable, exciting reading

Fred Vickery, the main character in this series of books, is a realistic and likeable man. The more of these four books I have read, the closer I have felt to Fred. I have enjoyed these books because they have been suspenseful and exciting without getting caught up in the gore. The writing style flows easily and is comfortable reading. I have just begun the fourth book in this group, and already by page 10, I feel comfortable in Cutler, Colorado and am looking forward to spending some time with my new acquaintance, Fred Vickery
