A beautiful story lives on

I must first admit that I am one of the two children noted in the back of the book that Barbara originally sang this story to after my mother died when I was 11. This story is just as heartwarming to me now as it was 22 years ago, still carrying the beautiful message that there is always hope. I love it and am so proud that it's now available for young and old to enjoy and hear this beautiful story as told by a beautiful woman.

As a Marital Family Therapist who has dealt with adults and children in painful situations, I found the message of this lovely book to be very powerful!..."No one can ever steal your rainbow...the rainbow is in me". We know that we can't control what other people do and say to us, but we can control how we let it effect us. Being happy and loving to ourselves and others is a choice that we can make on a daily basis. The girl in this story chooses joy and lovingkindness despite all her hard knocks, and in the end, not only does it heal her, but it also heals others.
