Four stories depict situations involving children and varying degrees of sexual abuse, articulate feelings of fear and guilt, and suggest appropriate responses This description may be from another edition of this product.
I was sexually molested by an uncle when I was 10. To compound the trauma, my mother refused to believe me or help me; that job was left to my father, who did take steps to protect me from my mother's brother. I went for counseling years later, and felt I'd dealt with the trauma...until I had children. When I found out I was pregnant at age 32, the first thing I did was buy a book, written for children, to explain to them what good touch and bad touch is. I became an overprotective mother because of my past abuse, and each of my children (I have 3) have read this book. I highly recommend this book!
