A helpful book for new Christians to discover the Bible

This book is a brief introduction to the value of the Bible, written for new Christians who don't have any significant church background. It's written in a very light, easy style which makes it simple to read and it talks about the importance of Bible reading and how that can shape our lives as Christians and help us to know God better. Fryer illustrates her points with stories from her life and from her situation as a church pastor and these applications to life are helpful. My one criticism is that the lively, friendly style might seem a bit cheesy to some.
