Too Excited to Sleep

In this book, the excited clown Loonette is staying up late preparing for her party the next day. Everyone she encounters either tells her she needs to go to bed or is already sound asleep. But Loonette believes that she can stay up all night and still be ready to go the next day. Eventually, she falls asleep and when the other people are in their costumes and having fun at the party, Loonette is still sleeping off the effects of her attempt at being a night owl.

Bright illustrations and an excellent message

In this book, the darling clown Loonette is staying up late preparing for her party the next day. Everyone she encounters either tells her she needs to go to bed or is already sound asleep. But Loonette believes that she can stay up all night and still be ready to go the next day. Eventually, she falls asleep and when the other people are in their costumes and having fun at the party, Loonette is still sleeping off the effects of her attempt at being a night owl. The best children's books tell a simple lesson in a form that young children can understand. This book does that and the illustrations are bright and colorful, the kind that will keep a child's visual attention. I recommend that all parents read it to their children.

My three year old daughter loves The Big Comfy Couch. She especially loves this book because of its vibrant colours and entertaining storyline. The pictures of Loonette and Molly are just like the show we watch on t.v. This book flows nicely and is fun for both parent and child.
