Excellent Work

This book is very funny and the author very talented. I think there is a little bit of Nick Chase in everyone. I have went to amazingly stupid lengths to avoid my boss when I was working at a newspaper, too. Read this book. You will not be disappointed.

The book that wouldn't go away!

For me, turning the last page of Nick Chase was like leaving the old neighborhood. I'll forever wonder "what's become of those guys?".

Easy reading that keeps you interested

This book really surprised me. After I picked it up, before I knew it, I was half way through it. It reads very quickly and the characters are all a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this book, especially to people who normally do not like to read.

Nick Chase, We Hardly Knew Ye

What a breezy, fun read! A terrific first effort. This is just the book to have along when -> you're enduring your daily commute on the railroad (like I did when I read this yarn), -> ignoring the perky flight attendant asking if you'd prefer (?) the chicken "thing" or the meat "thing", or -> waiting out a man-o'-war attack at the beach. <p>When you think things can't possibly get any screwier, our hard-pressed hero lands himself (and everyone else) in even more "stuff". (At several points, I laughed out loud--it's a good tactic for getting more "personal space" in a packed Manhattan subway car. It happened to me--twice). <p>The only problem is, before you know it, the madcap story has come to a whirling, stupefying finish. <p>Nick Chase needs a new adventure. Soon. <p>Author! Author!

Good Read

Good read for anyone who has grown up in a small town. The author captures the unique flavor of small town life. In addition, he takes the reader on an adventure that is very imaginative.
