I enjoy Connelly's Lincoln Lawyer books. This story was compelling, but stopped me cold when he was going on about having to get a Trump supporter off the jury. Was that really necessary?? TDS is real.
good story, but...

I have been enjoying Michael Connelly's books for a long time. So long, I think I know Harry Bosch and Mick Haller. They are well written and the mystery keeps you going. However, this may be my last one. Connelly had to get his typical California political dig in against President Trump and Trump's followers. Now, one can hope that it's just the book character's line of thinking, but ...
Ghost-written? Because it’s dreadful lol

I’ve read all the Bosch books (some twice) as well as the previous Hallers. For me, this book was totally unreadable. I could only manage to make my way through about the first 50 pages before it landed in recycling. Writing was juvenile and stilted, plus incredibly uninspiring. Apparently reviews mention the extreme leftist opinions of the author and, had I known that, I never would have bought this book. Glad I threw in the towel when I did to avoid further annoyance.
