Bon Voyage

Even if you have been to new England many times, this wonderful DK book will remind you of favorite places, while presenting in a colorful and readable format many new ideas for your adventures in New England

Useful, useful, useful

Over the years of traveling, I have purchased many of the Eyewitness Travel Guides. Not only are they informative but they break down the sights you need to see and more importantly, how to get to them withouu losing your composure. Never having been to the New England area, this book was great. It listed restaurants, hotels, maps and everything else needed to make a great driving vacation. If you've never purchased a travel guide, I strongly recommend the Eyewitness series, you won't be disappointed.

Great, informative travel guide to New England

My family and I just returned from a long trip to the East Coast, and this was one of the guide books which I found to be informative. It gives a great overview and detailed information on the best places of interest in New England. What I love about these Eyewitness Guides is the great number of full-color pictures of all the places of interest which are a feast for the eyes [most other travel guides do not have many pictures, much less full-color photographs]. Seeing these places in the book helped me [a very visual person] to decide on whether I wanted to visit certain places. There are maps aplenty, though small in size [but handy]. There are extensive reviews of restaurants, places on interest and also hotels, amongst others. My one complaint is that the addresses for some the places of interest are not detailed for the GPS, i.e. missing zipcodes and such which made it harder for me to locate the exact address on my GPS [a situation remedied by a quick call to said location via the tel no helpfully provided in the guide]. Perhaps the publishers can look into this aspect for future publications. Other than that, this is a beautiful and handy travel guide to New England.

Great Travel Guide

Eyewitness books are perfect. Compact, soft cover, extensive New England travel book. I love it! Has everything in a compact, easy to hold/handle travel book. Historical background, museums, recreation, parks, suggested hotels and restaurants. Highly recommend.

An essential guide to New England

If you are going to take a tour of New England this is a must have book. It includes great ideas for touring around Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. If you are only going to Boston you are probably better off buying the cheaper Boston guide but any tour of New England needs this book. The pictures are great and as always the division by region is a great way to see things. Whether you are touring the whole thing or just a few states this book is an excellent start.
