Proves the accuracy and superiority of the KJV Bible

Excellent book! In addition to answering some questions about APPARENT inconsistencies in Bible versions, Ms. Kiplinger has written a in depth Bible study book. I always preferred the KJV Bible but now I am convinced about the accuracy and superiority of the KJV. Indebted to Ms. Kiplinger.

Excellent

My Greek aunt told me years ago to only read the Authorized King James Version bible. She said it was the only bible translation that accurately translated Greek text. She would read from both her Greek bible and KJV. This book confirms that not only is the authorized KJV the most accurate but that newer translations are rewriting the bible. More people need to be educated about this diabolical destruction of Gods Holy Word.

required reading

I was raised reading the NIV, then switched to NASB in high school (to get a more "literal" translation), and then switched again to ESV in college (to follow the "reformed" guys who love it so much.) I had a friend who was KJV-only and I (with my superior "reasoning" skills) would put him in his place time after time. "How ridiculous!" I would say. I studied the debate, and stuck with my NASB, but somehow the questions stuck around. I studied it again: stuck with NASB. I studied it again after I switched to ESV, and stayed with the ESV. I knew that the AV (KJV) and the NASB couldn't both be equally accurate, because my friend and I had done parallel readings in passages and found clear examples where EITHER one OR the other was correct (or neither) but NOT BOTH; the newer version had done more than simply update the "archaic" language: it changed the meaning. So three rounds into the research, and I still resisted. God was doing other work on me too at the time, and He finally got me to the point where I couldn't put up a fight anymore. I quit relying on myself (and other men) and switched to the AV. At first it was really hard, and gave me headaches, but after persevering through the first few weeks, the light broke through and I absolutely love the AV now and have no trouble reading it at all. Just recently, I've started reading into the subject again to be able to give a defense and to prepare to do battle for the truth, and came across New Age Bible Versions. I had seen this book for a long time, and had been avoiding it! We are all conditioned to reject Riplinger (and Ruckman, for that matter) out of hand. "Don't waste your time, etc." But finally I decided to give her a try, and I am very glad that I did. Let me say that I'm not sure that NABV should be the first and only book on the subjects that someone should read. For someone with no background at all into the textual aspect of things, I can see how you could get lost sometimes. For someone with no exposure to the new age, I can see how it can all seem like a crazy conspiracy theory. So I go back and forth, sometimes the best tactic is to shock someone with the truth and they see it and recognize it and act accordingly. Sometimes when the truth is too shocking, or hits too close to home, we put up walls and retreat behind the walls of irrational emotional outbursts, personal attacks, and straw-man arguments to avoid the implications of the truth. For some people this may be the best book to start with. For others it might be better to lay some groundwork. I read Edward Hills' "The King James Version Defended" before I read this and I know that I was better prepared to assimilate all of the information, and also better prepared to see the hollowness of all the criticisms against NABV. I would certainly recommend Hills work as a precursor to Riplinger's. All in all, I thought that NABV was excellent and laid out very clearly the key differences between the modern

Information is wisdom

As I read negative review after negative review of this book, I was struck by one repeated phrase. "While some King James only people have a valid point of view", and then rip Dr. Riplinger. Satan comes to deceive, confuse, and bewilder. The Bible is the infallible word of GOD. If you are a Christian, that much you absolutely have to believe. Therefore if you have two books both purporting to be the Infallible WORD OF GOD, and they differ, one is completly wrong. There can be no half rights, only absolutes. Finally read the Preface of any translation you pick up, the men who worked on the Authorized KJV 1611 didn't believe themselves to be infallible, compare the sincerity in that preface to any other traslation.Dr. Riplinger knew she would be attacked by the minions of Satan when she wrote this and her other works proclaiming the singular truth that the 1611 KJV is the true translation of the INSPIRED WORD OF GOD. No matter how many reviews rip her books to shreads, anyone who reads her books completly will have a greater understanding of what this war of words over translations is really all about.

This book is not for those practicing churchianity...

I read this book and could not put it down. I finished it and then read many of the (unfounded) accusations against the author (If you can't discredit the message, then discredit the messenger?) I searched through the massive index of documentation at the end of Mrs. Riplinger's book with the intention of finding her wrong. Two years later, I am unable to find discrepancies in her statements. In fact, I have been led, by my search, to now study Greek. What I have found is that G.A. Riplinger is so close top the truth that the saying, "Truth is stranger than fiction" would be a gross understatement here.I have re-read this book. Find it to be well reasearched and well documented. I have bought single copies, and even a case-full and distributed them free to church members and family. The information presented in this book is detrimental to the "collaborators and conspirators" of the so-called "modern-versions." Get this book and share the informatiotion with every Bible believer that you know. This book is not for those who are spiritually blinded, brain-dead, or those practicing "churchianity."

She's right...other world class scholars would agree

She's right on the mark! Giants of theology would agree as well, eg, Robert Dick Wilson, Dr. D. O. Fuller, Dr. Edward F. Hills, Dr. D. A. Waite, and numerous others. An old saying goes like this, "throw a rock into a group of pigs, and the one that squeals the loudest is the one you hit". She has hurled some serious rocks, shaken more than a few trees, so it is inevitable that criticisms would unsue. Sadly, however, most people will never take time to research and find out for themselves whether or not her reasearch is accurate. I have personaly researched this topic over the last 12 years, out of a desire to know which bible is THE bible, and have come to the conclusion that today's scholarship is simply a clone of the gross errors of earlier misguided pseudo scholars. This explains why most "scholars" today support the "new" bibles...at the college level, they are not given ALL the arguments for the KJV and against the clearly corrupted minority manuscripts which underly ALL "modern" translations. These errors have perpetuated for more than 100 years and are solidly entrenched in virtually all bible colleges, seminaries, and universities today. This does not, however, mean they are correct. Case in point, "phyletic gradualism" (slow, gradual, "Darwinian" evolution)has been taught for years to be "the" definition of the origin of species, but is now all but defunked in favor of "punctuated equilibria". Few credible scientists still insist upon Darwinian evolution today, but it is still in virtually all scientific textbooks and is still taught as the de facto explanation for the origin of life. People really need to do some SERIOUS research for THEMSELVES before they condemn this author and this book, because I believe that if they did they would find both the author and book far more in line with the actual empirical evidence. Kudos to G. Riplinger for her curageous stand in the face of all the "stuck pigs"!

Please friends, read it before you hate it!

This book is a true phenomenon in American publishing and, regardless of what you've read or heard, it CANNOT be lightly dismissed! Many of the comments of its detractors are valid, but I can tell you truthfully that one frequent comment is not. The "it-won't-change-anyone's mind" cliche simply cannot be said of Riplinger's opus, whatever its faults... I will tell you on my honor that before I came to read this book I belived KJV apologists were kooks and simpletons. This book changed my mind, and those of at least three other men and women I have met. The truth is that Riplinger will raise questions in your mind that anti-KJV writers will never adequately answer. (e.g. How is it that since 1881 not a single Textus Receptus-only translation has even been proposed by the entrenched Bible publishing industry in this country, even amid a large and growing controversy?) I praise Gail Riplinger's willingness to throw a monkey wrench into the schemes of self-satisfied scholars, academics, and hypocrites!
