My honest opinion for this being the 21st Drizzt book I’ve read.

I’ve have been reading all the Drizzt books from the beginning and I have feel in love with all the characters RA Salvatore has created. But since moving the story in the future and also moving to Neverwinter has definitely changed the atmosphere of the Drizzt universe. I know that after 20 books there needs to be some change but the implementation of having more “monsters/devils” has been an adjustment for me since it’s very different from the original universe. All in all for this book, I only really started enjoying this towards the last 3-4 chapters of the book. The beginning and middle were very hard to grasp me and keep me invested but I’m glad I ended up finishing this novel. More than likely I’ll still read the next book in this series to see what happens with Neverwinter. I’ve also never played any of the video game’s so this is purely my experience with reading the novels.
