If you've ever been hopelessly in love...you will understand...

How do you explain that feeling of love at first sight...especially when its with a man who is incarcerated...is your mind playing tricks on you..or have you totally lost your mind. This book is so honest and straight forward that you cannot read it and be the same. Whether you are the "woman" of an incarcerated man or someone who thinks it could never happen to you, dare to explore what its really like to be inside those walls with the man of your dreams....and yes, these women are right there with thier man ..every step of the way. A story of hope, and courage, and love that will not die. None of us are immune to its power...and yes, it could happen to you too. Walk their walk...and if you have a heart at all or have ever been hopelessly in love, you will certainly understand why they chose love.....

Love doesn't care where you are

I was initially attracted to this book by a banner on Prison Talk Online. My family legally adopted a young man who had been in the system since the age of eight, and I get a lot of the same reactions from friends and family that these ladies did. Love strikes you, no matter what you have to overcome to follow it. Never Say Never contains some lovely and insightful stories about finding love in the prison system. My only suggestion would be that some of the stories are out of order, timewise, which was a little confusing to me.

After reading this collection poems and short stories I was struck by the image of concrete and roses. Never Say Never is about the survival of love through the most trying of times and against the most incredible odds. Beautifully written they speak to all of us who have loved beyond reason, beyond the beliefs of what others think is best and beyond the walls of all our private "prisons." It is about courage and perseverance, of men and women who stand by each other and live for a future when they can hold their heads up high and say "Yes" and "Yes" again. It is a book I strongly recommend.

Excellant Book!!!! Must Read!

This book was an EXCELLANT book. These authors left no stone unturned. They took you into there private lives and shared with you there most intimate feelings. This book is for everyone. I gave this book 5 stars, because it was well deserved. Its a book that was written straight from the heart. I really enjoyed reading this novel and look forward to future projects from these authors.

A must read

This amazing book give an inside look at these ladies lives and shows that it is possible to love a man who is behind bars and still be a success. It shows that it can happen to anyone, and anywhere. Love is love. I feel that women that share their lives with a man that is incarcerated are often stereotyped and these women will show you that it is wrong to judge and think the way society wants you to think. It is endearing, emotional, passionate and straight from the heart book. I recommend this book not only for the people that have experienced this but for those who have not so that they can see it is real and not a game!.
