A great read

I like shapeshifter romances and tales of native american warriors. This has both. Allie paints an angel to protect her and allows a warrior trapped in the form of a raven to become human again.. a man with wings. The story's fascinating as are the love triangles. He still loves his dead wife. She falls for a friend who is helping them recover the talisman to break the curse. A captivating story. I couldn't put it down until I'd finished reading it.

superb paranormal romantic thriller

Shaman Allie Whirlwind paints a picture that partially conjures up a person who was cursed by her great-grandmother, an Apache black witch seeking vengeance against those who harmed her people, to spend a century as a raven. Allie wants to help the man break the spell completely, as he is only a half-human; besides failure dooms this dark creature to eternity. However, Allie knows she cannot go any further alone and her family cannot provide the type of help she needs. She turns to Daniel Deer Running to assist her in finding the talisman that could finalize the spell before the hundred years is over. As she works on the release, Allie ponders her fickleness feeling an attraction to the two new men in her life. After appearing as a secondary character in APACHE NIGHTS, Allie shows her strengths as she holds together this superb paranormal romantic thriller. The Native American mythology brilliantly blends into the excellent action-packed story line while the romantic dilemma that Allie faces between the two males in her life makes for a fine counterpoint to the thrills and chills. Sheri Whitefeather provides a well written powerful myth-laden tale. Harriet Klausner

A KEEPER??? NO!!!!

Where does SW take her literary license from? I am sorry but these characters that have no moral fiber ruin the whole story for me. Plus a bit of barnyard language had to be thrown in? All I can say is that her female characters are tramps. The story was fascinating - very well written - the legends were intrigueing. But to take a hundred and twenty year old shape-shifter as a lover? Pure fantasy! Allie Whirlwind has summoned up this character "Raven" through her painting of him as an angel with black wings. [Kind of awkward for him] She learns of the curse put on "Raven" by her great-grandmother, Zinna. Plain old jealosy! Zinna wanted Raven for herself. [over a 100 years ago]. Kyle Prescott introduces Allie [must be short for alley cat]to Daniel Deer Runner, another one of his group that reclaims Native American artifacts. Kyle and his wife Joyce offer to help "Raven" and Allie find the amulet that could save Raven from Zinna's curse. Derek Moon and a girl named Fallon are also looking for the amulet. Supposedly to help keep Zinna from gaining more power. "Raven" wants to be reunited with his wife, Vanessa and is heart-broken when he learns of the manner of her death. Allie wants to save "Raven" and is also falling for Daniel and definitely confused emotionally. You Think? Her sister, Olivia and Ian West do make an appearance [Huh, their not married yet]. FBI and all of that. Intrigueing type of story - needs to be cleaned up for us prissy readers who would like to see more moral guts [strength] in the leading ladies and the [strong] language is not needed, we get the picture. Sorry to say I will not be adding these books to my keepers. Ah Well! Such is life. They are readable.
