Great social-documentary photography

This is a great social-documentary photobook about life in East Baltimore that grew out of a project at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Linda Rich and two of her students, Joan Clark Netherwood and Elinor B. Cahn, took the photographs and also recorded conversations with residents, and Wright Morris wrote the introduction.

very nice pictures

This book tells its stories mostly through pictures of the types of people you are likely to encounter in the city of Baltimore. Being a recent convert to the charm of Baltimore, I really enjoyed the photographs and appreciated the way they conveyed the sense of community that you can find in the inner city if you look for it.
