"Neglected No More" reveals that Jimmy and Nina are now both married and living happily with their respected spouses. Jimmy is a sports super star and Nina is in the police force. But the past wakes up and comes back to haunt Jimmy causing him to have much to worry about including his health! The author brings back Buck and Esther and sheds light on their children Eddy and Karen who resented their parents for the way they treated Katrina. The drama isn't over for Jimmy and Nina and some shocking surprises are about to play out in their lives! This is an all round great story written by author Richard Jeanty. Expert background info and fine character development here. An interesting story that keeps the reader glued to the pages! I've read all three books that pertain to this actual story and I realized that there was one part of the plot that was never resolved. Considering the way Buck treated Katrina and the events that took place in "Neglected No More" I think it should have been addressed. This and the fact that the author spent unnecessary time reiterating facts that were previously made clear is what led to my four star rating. A recommended Read! Locksie ARC Book Club Inc.

So Grateful for the 2nd Book

Thank god for the good ending because I was about to lose my mind at the dinner table each time waiting to know who would be found and how the family would take it. I literally walked 4 miles on the track reading when I was only supposed to be walking 2 miles. It is so much of a great story that's real life to soo many people and it showed that you can overcome all obstacles of life. I know it is supposed to be fiction but it really hits home to someone like me and I haven't even been through it, but I know people who have and I definitely will refer this to them as a reference to defying the odds!

Life for Jimmy and Nina has turned for the better. Nina is married and is a police sergeant and Jimmy is married and now plays for the Boston Celtics. Jimmy is riding high on success and fame but he's trying to run from the skeletons in his closet and survive a health crisis. When someone from his past threatens to sabotage his career, Jimmy has to turn to Pastor Jacobs and Nina for help. But will they be able to help Jimmy without putting their own lives at risk? Nina and Jimmy also get the shock of their lives as the missing links of their family history finally come together. Neglected No More is the perfect sequel by Richard Jeanty. Jeanty masterfully continues the story of Nina and Jimmy. I liked the way this author incorporated the shortage of African-American organ donors and his thoughtful social commentary into the storyline. Readers will also get the full explanation on why Katrina's parents acted the way they did towards her and her siblings. Neglected No More is thought-provoking and dynamic. Richard Jeanty is proving himself to be a force to be reckoned with in the literary industry.

Nina and Jimmy are back! The characters you grew to know and love in Neglected Souls are back in the touching followup, Neglected No More. Jimmy is now a successful basketball player while Nina is happily married with 2 kids. Jimmy now has a loving and close relationship with his father and while his father's family has embraced Nina, she can't help but feel as though something is missing. She still wonders about her mother's family, who are they? where are they? Through a chance encounter , Jimmy develops a friendship with Eddy, a man who turns out to be his uncle and that leads to long overdue family reunion. But now that Jimmy's life is going well, an unexpected person from the past pops up and is attempting to blackmail him but what is even more shocking is the person who comes to Jimmy's rescue. It is rare to read a sequel that is as good as the first part but Neglected No More does not disappoint. A touching story about forgiveness and the bonds of family with unforgettable characters that will make you laugh, and cry as you not only catch up with Nina and Jimmy but you also learn more about Katrina and her family.
