Action, Romance, and Faith at Its Best

Ned by Susan May Warren is the latest installment in the Minnesota Marshalls series and it focuses on Ned Marshall and Shae Johnson (Esme Shaw from the Montana Rescue series). Shae is a strong and courageous woman but her over-confidence lands her in a heap of trouble. Ned is another strong alpha male with one weakness – Shae. He wants to protect the people he loves and will sacrifice everything to get Shae back safely after she’s kidnapped. I liked how both Shae and Ned grew during this story and how they learned to trust each other and God. Warren always has a nice faith message. You’ll find all the action from previous books. There were a few scenes that had me on the edge of my seat, and there’s just the right amount of romance. I would read the series in order simply because it will be a more coherent story. I received an advance reader copy, but it’s for sure I’ll be adding the paperback to my Susan May Warren collection.

"You keep fighting for joy. For hope. For faith. That, right there, is your superpower." How is it possible that this series gets better with each novel? The adrenaline and fast-paced action are non-stop, heartfelt and timely faith lessons are real, and the romance is absolutely swoony. I've loved Ned and Shae since meeting them quite a few books ago and loved walking down memory lane with them even as they faced new obstacles and challenges. Fraser, Ned's oldest brother, played a big role in this story; their camaraderie and brotherhood bond were incredible and held my heart together when everything seemed to be falling apart. Iris, the only female Minnesota Marshall, and Hudson are introduced in this story and I'm already completely invested in their adventure. It was good to see Roy, Ziggy, the Kingston brothers in Alaska, and some of the Montana Marshalls make delightful appearances throughout the plot. The overarching theme of chasing down radioactive waste and a rogue ex-CIA operative continues in this book while Ned hunts down Russian mafia to rescue Shae and Hudson goes out of his way to protect Iris from an unknown threat. I can't get enough of these Marshalls! Bring on Iris and Creed! I received the book from the publisher via JustRead Publicity Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. Intense Suspense

Another exciting adventure from the author. Ned Marshall is a Navy SEAL and when his fiance gets kidnapped he will stop at nothing, and I mean nothing to get her back. This is part of the Minnesota Marshall series and is another action packed adventure. I often wonder how these characters have time to breathe with all the running around they do. It's a great story with wonderful characters. I love that characters from other books pop up in these stories and I think "I remember him or her." There's action, adventure, a faith element, overcoming evil, suspense, romance, it's all there. Can't wait for Iris to release next!
