It contains background information on natural medicines, herbs, nutrition, homeopathy, and glandular extracts. Alphabetical listings are by the common, rather than Latin, name so specific substances are easy to locate. Over 80 different health conditions are listed ranging from acne to ulcer, from epilepsy and diabetes to hypertention and osteoporosis. Under each condition are life style recommendations and a "decision tree" to guide health care workers before a natural supplement is considered. Page numbers are given for each substance listed for cross-reference.
