I loved this book - even better than Nick & Norah's infinite playlist! The characters were well drawn and the idea of a new character getting a new chapter was awesome so that we could get to know even some of the more supporting characters on an intimate basis. I LOVED IT!
No Kiss a Yes Read

I was pretty sure this book could not live up to my much beloved "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist." I figured it was either a reprise of the same characters under a different name, a reprise of the same story, or just some cliche notions about the typical themes of friendship. Oh, how wrong I was. This book is exceptionally wonderful. The characters are trustworthy and then make unexpected choices, which makes them quite interesting and exciting. The conversations are valid. The language is, fresh and wide ranging, which is an aspect of N & NIP that I was pleased to see pulled over. All in all, reading this book was a joyous romp through a world I sometimes related to, sometimes delightfully did not relate to, and always found scintillating and amusing.
Beautiful, Sad, but Honest

Runa Zaman "HPLunatic" said "I was SO holding out for a Naomi & Ely ending. They are them. They've always been them, and it always should be them. . ." and I agree. But after a nice crying jag and a second reading I can not dislike this book or rate it lower just because I didn't get the happy ending I wanted for Naomi. This story is more than just the fantasy of Naomi and Ely. This story is about growing up, really growing up, and away from childhood into adulthood with all the change and hurtful reality that comes with that. My heart breaks for Naomi because her moment of change is the harshest and hardest but it was the most necessary. But, I feel happy for Ely. True change is scary and unsettling but there is opportunity and possibility in that change as well. That's how I feel about this story. That's how I feel about Naomi and Ely.
Naomi and Ely's No-Kiss List by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn

Naomi and Ely are the bestest of best friends- they've grown up together, been around each other all their lives, gone through parental drama. Everything seems to be going fine- the problem though is that Naomi is in love with Ely, and Ely doesn't feel the same way, as he loves boys. One stick of gum in the wrong place at the wrong time changes everything between them. Can they both work out their differences and become friends again, or is it just too late? The second novel to come from the brilliant Cohn and Levithan team is, well, brilliant. Perhaps even better than their first novel together. The story is told from both Naomi and Ely's point of view, but every so often, the reader gets to hear from a different character's perspective. Filled with intelligent, but readable prose, as well as humor, page-turning drama, and engaging, relatable characters, this is one book you do not want to miss.
Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List

I adore this book... I really do. Cohn and Levithan write amazingly together... I loved Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, and to be honest I'm not sure which of these two books I love more. They're just so... sarcastic and humorous and completely abnormal. This book was like nothing I've ever read before, to tell the truth. I could actually relate a bit to both the main characters, I think, even though I am probably about as similar to them as a dog is to a fish. Either way, this book just captivated me from the very first chapter, and it was hard to put down.
