Great Cultural History of North Carolina's Cherokees

If you are interested in American Indian culture, you'll really enjoy this book. James Mooney researched and wrote this in the late 1800s just as the Cherokee culture was in danger of dying out. He recorded their myths, legends and language for posterity. A teenaged Cherokee in North Carolina told me they use this book today in their classes.
