The history and factual realities of ancient Druidism in Breton are hard to locate in such a well presented and researched manner as this. I was not familiar with most of this strange sect's beliefs, but this book is as worth-while for the new student as it is for the expert. Naturally the most controversial aspect of Spence's thorough analysis is the theory that the basis for Egyptian, Hebrew and even Hindu dogma originated in ancient Breton and spread east, which is the exact opposite of what we have been taught. Having read the book (originally published in 1923) and after doing some comparative research, this ground-breaking theory has more than enough historical evidence to make it a very valid argument. It is a thought-provoking, engrossing and often jaw-dropping exposure of how theological history can be hidden, distorted and manipulated into oblivion. We owe a dept to Mr. Spence for having the courage and integrity to resurrect the ghosts of true history.
